Gate System

A new gate entry system was installed in August 2020. Gate Clickers are the mode of entry for Waterways residents. Be sure to place your clickers in your vehicles. If you do not have your clicker with you, then you will need to use the call box to call your phone and when your phone rings, then you will press 9 to open the gate.

NEVER open the gate for anyone you do not know. If you use outside vendors for your property, such as landscape or pest control company, etc, you, the homeowner, is to contact the Property Manager at 239-353-6887 to enroll the vendor into the gate security system. Waterways’ security company will supply the vendor with an entrance code to access our community.

If a vendor services more than one homeowner they will receive only one code. All known common vendors, i.e. UPS, FedEx, USPS, FPL, CenturyLink, Comcast, Naples Daily News, Collier County Utilities, Waste Management Associates, Amazon, etc., serving Waterways have their own entrance code. If your vendor does not have their phone registered with the Property Manager, instruct them to use the resident’s directory to find your name on the callbox with a keypad at the gate. It will display your name and the box will dial your phone number on file.

When you receive a call from the entrance gate for admittance and if you have Caller ID, your phone will show “Waterways Gates”. If you do not have Caller ID on your phone it will show these phone numbers:

  • Immokolee Gate – 239-307-4815
  • Oil Well Rd. Gate – 239-331-4493
  • If you want to grant access press 9 on your phone, the gate will then open.
  • If you do not want to grant access just hang up.

Instruct all vendors and delivery services to use the side entrance off of Oil Well Road. The main entrance and bridge are NOT designed for large trucks or trailers.

If you see the side gate arm knocked off, please notify the Property Manager at 239-353-6887.

Remember, the gates are not designed to keep out professional thieves or determined intruders. Please do not develop a false sense of security. Safeguard your property and stay alert for suspicious activity or unauthorized entrants.

Tips:

You do not need to use your clicker to leave the community. The exit gates open automatically as you approach them.

Tailgaters: To prevent unauthorized vehicles from entering by tailgating, slow down or stop after you pass the barrier gate. This will allow enough time for the gate to close. Without this pause, the gate will go back up allowing the tailgater to gain entrance. If anyone is close behind you the gate arm will reopen. This is necessary for people pulling trailers.

DO NOT instruct visitors to “follow” you in, the gate arms do close quickly and can cause damage to their vehicles.
