Answer: There are several ways: a) The Waterways Watch newsletter is published 10 months of the year and delivered electronically to residents who have chosen to subscribe to the community email system. The Watch is also available on this website and a printed copy can be picked up at the clubhouse. b) Waterways sends out emails about happenings in the development to those residents who choose to subscribe. To receive these emails, add your email address by clicking on ‘User Profile’ near the top of the left column of this page. c) Two bulletin boards are maintained at the clubhouse with both Board of Directors’ news as well as activity news. d) A sign board at the entrance the clubhouse lists upcoming community events e) Sign boards at both exits remind resident of events happening in the very near future f) the Events Calendar on this website list scheduled events. Back to top Question: Who are the Board of Directors, and when are they elected? Answer: The Board of Directors are residents who volunteer their time to serve Waterways as the governing body. The residents elect the board at the Annual Meeting in January. Any resident may run for the Board of Directors by submitting their name prior to the Annual Meeting held in January. Answer: Everyone at the time of closing on their home should have received a copy of the Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions from the closing agent. If you did not, contact the HOA Manager either by using the Contact Us menu item or by calling the clubhouse office 353-6887. These documents, with amendments, are part of the official land records maintained by the Collier County Clerk of Courts and are available on that website. Answer: The first thing to do is contact the HOA Manager, either by email or by phone to either ask questions about the violation and to establish a target date to correct the violation. The Management Company will give you reasonable time to correct the violation. If the violation is uncorrected, an appearance before the Community Enforcement Committee will be required. Answer: You must complete the Architectural Approval Request Form (available on this website), along with the documents required, and submit to the Architectural Review Committee. They meet on a regular basis and you will be notified whether your request is approved. Never start a project without the approval from the ARC. Answer: How often lawns can be watered is determined by the South Florida Water Management Divsion and enforced by Collier County Code Enforcement. Under normal circumstances, addresses ending with odd number can water Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Addresses ending with even numbers can water Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
