MANAGERS REPORT
Astrid DiGrazia
MANAGER REPORT
Driveway and Roof and Sidewalks:
I would like to remind the residents of the community that is very important to follow the Waterways of Naples By-law. Several houses will be soon be coming up on the violation list. Please make sure to schedule your cleaning prior to receiving a notice. Sidewalks need to be clean by owners from the property line to property line, not only the driveway links.
Vendors:
January is around the corner and the entry code will be changing the first week of January. Please make sure to remind your vendor to look for the coming Email giving them the new code. Also, some vendors are tailgating to enter Waterways, this is a violation. Please make sure to remind your vendors to register with the HOA. Forms are available at the clubhouse or Oil Well entrance. This could help with the backup traffic on Oil Well Entrance. Thank you for your cooperation. Parking: Keep in mind that NO PARKING overnight on the street is allowed. Sidewalks need to be clear at all times NO parking on sidewalks (DAY OR NIGHT).
DOG Pick up:
I received several emails of complaint regarding homeowners not picking up after their dogs. Keep in mind this is not only a violation of the Waterways By-Laws but also aCollier County violation. Please pick up after your dogs and do not leave the poop behind.
HOA Dues:
January Quarterlydues are coming up. Make sure to pay on time to avoid late fees. Reminder DO NOT drop payment of the dues at the office. Your payment will NOTbe posted, and late fees could be applied. If you need assistance with any HOA DUES question, please contact Katie White via emailat: katie@hayden-associates.com
Gates Entry:
I Highly recommend resident to add the gates Phone number to their contact list. Immokalee: 239-307-4815 and Oil Well: 239-331-4493.
????Best way to reach me is VIA Email: ASTRID@HAYDEN-ASSOCIATES.COM
Merry Christmas.

ANNUAL MEETING
The most important meeting of the year for our HOA Every HOA in Florida is required to hold an annual meeting. At this meeting a new Board of Directors is seated, funds to operate the community are rolled over to the new year and important issues affecting the community are discussed and voted on. In order to hold this meeting, according to our documents, a quorum of households must be represented. This can occur either by attendance in person or by proxy. THIS YEAR IS PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT TO ATTEND VIA PROXY WITH THE DANGER OF GATHERING BECAUSE OF THE VIRUS If we do not achieve a quorum, we must re-do the meeting which is an additional expense for residents. YOU SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED a packet in the mail from Hayden & Associates, which will include an Agenda for the Meeting and a proxy form. If for some reason you did not receive this packet please call the office at 353-6887, and our manager, Astrid will see that you get one. With that in mind, it is more important than ever that resident do their part for the community and send in the proxy as soon as possible. If you misplace your proxy you can call the office353-6887 or test Nancy Wright at 239-641-0343 and either Astrid or Nancy will get one to you.

MESSAGE FROM THE ARCIMPORTANT:
As of 7/31/20 the ARC has a new email for ARC requests and questions: WATERWAYSARC@GMAIL.COM Please do not use theARC Coordinator’s personal email. Please remember that all ARC requests must have supporting documentation included. That list may be found under the ARC section of the waterways website or in the boxes outside of the HOA office. Requests may be made via email to the above email address or the property manager (astrid@hayden-associates.com) or may be dropped off in person at the Waterways office or the dropbox. PLEASE INCLUDE A CLEARLY WRITTEN EMAIL ADDRESS ON YOUR ARC REQUEST! We prefer to notify homeowners via email of approval/denial so that we have a written record. The ARC has resumed in-person meetings. We meet every other Monday so please understand there will be a longer time between ARC approvals than during the pandemic protocol. Please have your submission in prior to 5 PM on a meeting day to be reviewed by that evening.
JUST A REMINDER:
Any changes to the outside of your home MUST be approved by the ARC before any work commences. If you begin or complete work prior to approval you may be subject to fines. As of Monday, August 17th the ARC has resumed in-person meetings. We meet every other Monday so please understand there will be a longer time between ARC approvals than during the pandemic protocol. Please have your submission in prior to 5 PM on a meeting day to be reviewed by that evening.1)
When submitting an ARC request please submit all necessary supporting documentation. The required documentation can be found on the Waterways website (http://www.ahn05.com/waterwaysofnaples/picture/ARC-REQUIERMENTl.pdf). Including supporting documents will expedite the review of your request. Also please include a valid email address on each request. We use email to inform of both approvals and denials – that way everything is written which allows for less 4confusion. Additionally please note that the ARC has a new email address: WATERWAYSARC@GMAIL.COM. If you are expecting an approval, please check your junk mail filter for that address.
You may still submit requests via the office dropbox, Astrid’s email, or handing directly to an ARC member.2)If your ARC request is not approved, there is a valid reason. It is either against the HOA covenants, missing necessary documentation, or has been deemed to go against neighborhood standards/appearances. We don’t take these decisions lightly and I can assure you that each request is reviewed by multiple ARC members (especially if there’s an issue). This does not mean you may proceed with your project regardless of our decision. Doing so may result in fines from the HOA. As always you may appeal any decision directly with the ARC during a meeting (or by email for now). THE ARC IS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBER. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, CONTACT Waterwaysarc@gmail.com

The Santa Parade was a BIG Hit and thanks to all the Waterways Community for coming out and supporting this event.

Big Corkscrew Island Regional Park Buffer
The Big Corkscrew Island Regional Park will share several property lines with Waterways of Naples HOA Construction of this park has been divided into two phases. The county is set to break ground on Phase I, located on the north side of the Bolt Canal, just east of the fairgrounds, on Monday, December 16, 2019, at 10:00 am. Phase II of the park is located on the south side of the Bolt canal and will be developed at a later date.
The landscaping plans for both these phases, specifying the buffering and screening for Waterways, have been obtained. These landscaping plans contain all the layers needed for construction and are too large to upload to this website. Therefore, a picture of each page has been uploaded. Parts of these plans that have a direct impact on homes in Waterways have been enlarged for clarity.
Also uploaded are:
- Excerpts from the Land Development Code (LDC) explaining the purpose of the code and its possible impact on Waterways
- A comparison of the location of the road crossing the canal to the location of the road in the Conceptual Plan approved by the Board of County Commissioners.
